Have any of you run into this issue before with a 4k TV?Īlso, for reference, some of the games I've experienced this with are Dying Light, Toukiden Kiwami, and most recently Street Fighter V. I figure what better pool of people to ask. I downloaded Nvidia Inspector and tried locking framerates manually, and several other fixes but nothing seems to work.

What's even stranger still, is that some games run perfectly fine at 60FPS+ the first time they're launched, then the next time it's super slow. I've tried setting the default resolution to 4k (3840x2160 is my tv's native res) and setting it to 60hz, I've tried 120 at 1080p, I've tried 60 at 1080p, and still no luck.

This has pretty much led me to realize that it's a refresh rate/resolution issue, but I absolutely can't figure out what to do. There's no reason for the slowdown, spec wise.Įven stranger, when i switch the setting to windowed, I can run all of said games at max settings at a super steady 60fps. I'm running a 970 and Core i7, 16GB of ram, and usually I start these games out at about mid settings. Anyways, every time I run a game that does true fullscreen instead of borderless window, it slows down to a crawl. I set the refresh rate to 120hz in the Nvidia control panel, and the default resolution to 1080p, for a few reasons.

I have my PC connected via HDMI to this port, using a compatible cable.
STREET FIGHTER 4 FULLSCREEN PC 1080P
It has one HDMI 2.0 port which supports the 4k resolution at 60hz or supposedly 1080p at 120hz. I have a 50" 4k Vizio that I got on a crazy deal last summer, it's fantastic for gaming generally, as it scales well to 1080p. This has been a problem that's given me issues since I got my 4k TV. So I looked for a good thread that was still somewhat active to ask this question, but couldn't find anything.
